Registrations & Payments are due one week before the first class date.

  1. Fill out the registration form below or click HERE to download the Class Registration Form in PDF format.
  2. Upon completion, you will get a confirmation email from us. If you filled out a PDF, email your form to our Arts Education Coordinator, mail it to P.O. Box 2018 Douglasville, GA 30133, or drop it off at our office during regular business hours.
  3. To make a payment online, please choose your class and press the “Buy Now” button to complete your payment securely online. Other options for payment: mail in a check to P.O. Box 2018 Douglasville, GA 30133. You can also drop it off by our office during regular business hours.
  4. You will get a confirmation email from us when we receive the registration form and payment.

Drawing The Masters

Keith Wilson| Ages 13 yrs. old – adult

Tuesdays:
August 6 – 20 (Session Three) 
Time: 4:00 – 5:30 PM
Cost: $35.00 for 1 monthly session ($30.00 for CAC Member)

Learn step by step instruction for re-creating work of  legendary artists of the 19th century.  Students will learn to produce original work from still life subject matter, while learning various drawing techniques and the use of special drawing tools. Material fee of $20.00 will be paid directly to instructor.

Classical Drawing

Joseph Falligan| Ages: 8—16 years old

Saturdays: June 8th—July 20th (No class on July 6th.)

Time: 10:00 – 12:00 pm

Cost: $100.00  ($90.00 CAC Member)

For six (6) week session

 Children will experience an introduction to drawing fundamentals and advanced techniques, using a selection of graphite and/or charcoal pencils (with supporting tools) utilizing personal photo preferences. Materials provided.

Photography 101

Stephen Armstrong| 14 yrs. old – adult

Tuesdays:

June 11 – July 2 (Session One) July 9 – July 30 (Session Two) August 6— 27 (Session Three)

Time: 7:00 –  8:30 pm

Cost: $125.00 per session  ($115.00 CAC Member)

Learn how to use your camera outside of auto mode.  This course will teach students about shutter and aperture.  Students will learn how to understand exposure and the three elements of exposure.  Students will have a full understanding of how to use their camera in Manual Mode at the end of the course.  Special Note:  A DSLR camera or camera with interchangeable lenses are preferred.

Art Impressions 101

Wednesdays:

Time: 6:30 – 8:30 pm

 This class will teach students the technique of painting impressionism with an emphasis on major artists.  Students will create art in various mediums from watercolor to oil painting with impressionism being the goal.  Color theory will be explored as well.  Materials provided.

Beautiful Melodies – Piano Lessons

Ongoing monthly classes

Time range: 3:00-8:00 pm Specific lesson times are arranged with the instructor once registered.

Cost: $130.00 per month; weekly 30 minute class ($115.00 CAC member)

The piano is a performance instrument and the primary goal of this course is for students to become competent, independent performers on the piano.  Students will develop skills, discipline and determination to prepare for a performance of beautiful melodies.  All skill levels are welcome.

Integration Show Chorale

Dr. Marcy Simmons | Ages: 8—12 yrs. old

Thursdays: June 6—27

Time: 12:00– 2:00 pm

$50.00 for four (4) week session  ($45.00 CAC Member)

This class will introduce students to the art of integration as they learn and perform music to enhance their knowledge of math, science, language arts and social studies.  This class will include singing, dancing and spoken word.  The students will culminate their experience with an integration show concert.

What’s the Cake? (Music Integration)

Dr. Marcy Simmons | Adults Only

Tues. and Weds.: June 11—25

Time: 3:00– 5:00 pm

$50.00 per weekly two-day workshop  ($45.00 CAC Member)

This class is designed specifically for educators who are looking to do more music integration.  Educators will learn by merging the art of baking a cake with the process of creating and executing an innovative lesson.  A signed copy of the book “What’s The Cake”  will be provided to all students registered.

Fused Glass Workshops

Elizabeth Mobley | Ages: 13—Adult

Fridays: 
June 7 — “Doodling on Glass”
July 12 — “Wind chimes”
August 2 — “Painted Bottle”
Time: 6:30—8:30 pm
Cost: $38.00 per workshop
($34.00 CAC Member)

Set a date.  Bring a friend and enjoy drawing doodles on glass, making wind chimes or painting a unique lighted bottle.  No glass experience required. All materials and tools included in each workshop.  You are welcome to bring snacks and a beverage.
