Summer 2019 Class Offerings
Drawing The Masters
Keith Wilson| Ages 13 yrs. old – adult
August 6 – 20 (Session Three)
Time: 4:00 – 5:30 PM
Cost: $35.00 for 1 monthly session ($30.00 for CAC Member)
Learn step by step instruction for re-creating work of legendary artists of the 19th century. Students will learn to produce original work from still life subject matter, while learning various drawing techniques and the use of special drawing tools. Material fee of $20.00 will be paid directly to instructor.
Joseph Falligan| Ages: 8—16 years old
Saturdays: June 8th—July 20th (No class on July 6th.)
Time: 10:00 – 12:00 pm
Cost: $100.00 ($90.00 CAC Member)
For six (6) week session
Children will experience an introduction to drawing fundamentals and advanced techniques, using a selection of graphite and/or charcoal pencils (with supporting tools) utilizing personal photo preferences. Materials provided.
Stephen Armstrong| 14 yrs. old – adult
June 11 – July 2 (Session One) July 9 – July 30 (Session Two) August 6— 27 (Session Three)
Time: 7:00 – 8:30 pm
Cost: $125.00 per session ($115.00 CAC Member)
Learn how to use your camera outside of auto mode. This course will teach students about shutter and aperture. Students will learn how to understand exposure and the three elements of exposure. Students will have a full understanding of how to use their camera in Manual Mode at the end of the course. Special Note: A DSLR camera or camera with interchangeable lenses are preferred.
Art Impressions 101

This class will teach students the technique of painting impressionism with an emphasis on major artists. Students will create art in various mediums from watercolor to oil painting with impressionism being the goal. Color theory will be explored as well. Materials provided.

What’s the Cake? (Music Integration)

This class is designed specifically for educators who are looking to do more music integration. Educators will learn by merging the art of baking a cake with the process of creating and executing an innovative lesson. A signed copy of the book “What’s The Cake” will be provided to all students registered.
