Registrations & Payments are due one week before the first class date.

  1. Fill out the registration form below or click HERE to download the Class Registration Form in PDF format.
  2. Upon completion, you will get a confirmation email from us. If you filled out a PDF, email your form to our Arts Education Coordinator, mail it to P.O. Box 2018 Douglasville, GA 30133, or drop it off at our office during regular business hours.
  3. To make a payment online, please choose your class and press the “Buy Now” button to complete your payment securely online. Other options for payment: mail in a check to P.O. Box 2018 Douglasville, GA 30133. You can also drop it off by our office during regular business hours.
  4. You will get a confirmation email from us when we receive the registration form and payment.

VISUAL ARTS

Classical Drawing
Keith Wilson | Ages 7–14

Thursdays: Feb. 1st— March 8th
Saturdays: Feb. 3rd — March 10th
Time: 10:00 am—12:00 pm

Children will experience an introduction to drawing fundamentals and advanced techniques, using a selection of graphite and/or charcoal pencils (with supporting tools) utilizing personal photo preferences. Materials provided.

Drawing My World
Janis McCalister | Ages: 8 -11 years old

Session One:  Weds., Feb. 7th—March 14th
Session Two:  Weds.  March  21st—May 2nd
Time: 6:00 – 7:00 pm

Students will learn basic drawing techniques as they experience perspective, contour drawing, gesture drawing, still life drawing, shapes, mixing colors, and more.  No materials or previous art experience needed.  Note: No class on April 4th.

Paint and Sip Night Out
Adrienne Jackson | Adults Only

Fridays: March 23rd, April 27th, and May 25th
Time: 7:00—9:00 pm

Come and enjoy a jump start to your weekend with step-by-step art entertainment alongside friends, co-workers, family, etc. Light refreshments provided and feel free to bring your own as well. No experience or supplies are needed.

Be Jeweled! – Jewelry Making
Elizabeth Mobley | Ages: 16—Adults

Saturdays: Feb. 3rd— Feb. 10th
Time: 1:00—5:30 pm

Get ready to make unique jewelry with glass. In this 2 day class you will create pieces by layering, casting etching and engraving fused glass and so much more.  No experience with glass required.  Note: Materials provided. Please wear closed –toe shoes. Minimum number of students is 6.  Deadline to register is Jan. 30th.

Focus on Photography
Shannon Belletti | Ages 16 – Adults

Mondays: March 5th—April 9th
Time: 6:00—8:00 pm

Learn the art and science of taking great pictures through lecture and hands-on practice. By the end of the session students will know how to use their SLR camera features. Note: Film or digital SLR camera will be needed.

Fused Glass for Beginners:  Level One
Elizabeth Mobley | Ages: 16—Adults

Saturdays: Feb. 17th and 24th
Time: 1:00—5:30 pm

This 2-day class is perfect to learn the basics of fusing glass and will prepare you to create your own pieces and advance to exploring projects. No glass experience required. Note: Materials fee of $75 due on the first day of class. Closed-toe shoes are required. Minimum of 4  students needed.

Fused Glass for Beginners:  Level Two
Elizabeth Mobley | Ages: 16—Adults

Saturdays: March 3rd & 10th
Time: 1:00—5:30 pm

In this 2-day class you will take basic knowledge of fusing glass to the next level, working on projects using a variety of techniques, tools and materials while advancing cutting skills, and having hands-on experience creating 4 to 5 pieces.  Note: Materials fee of $75 due on the first day of class.  Minimum of 4 students needed. Closed toe shoes required.  Last day to register is Feb. 27th.

Pop Up Art for Kids
Stella Lemone | Ages: 9 – 12 years old

Saturdays: April 21st and 28th
Time: 11:00 am—1:00 pm

Students will choose a theme from a magazine and bring in their photograph and place themselves in a painting as directed by the instructor.

So Let’s Sew – Youth Sewing Class
Stella LeMone | Ages 10 -15 years old

Saturdays: Jan. 20th & 27th/ March  17th & 24th
Time: 12:00—1:30 pm

Students will learn to sew while making infinity scarves, pillow covers and more to give as gifts for special occasions to parents and friends.  Note: Students will need to provide their own scissors.

MUSIC

Beautiful Melodies – Piano Lessons
Elena Cox | All ages are welcomed

Wednesdays, January 24th—May 16th
Ongoing monthly classes
Time:  4:00—8:00 pm; Specific slots are arranged with the instructor once registered.

The piano is a performance instrument and the primary goal of this course is for students to become competent, independent performers on the piano. Students will develop skills, discipline and determination to prepare for a performance of beautiful melodies. All skill levels are welcomed.

Private String Lessons
Eleanor Bennett | All ages welcomed

Mondays: January 22nd—May  21st
Ongoing monthly classes
Time range:  3:00 — 8:00 pm; Specific slots are arranged with instructor once registered.

Private lessons will include technique, music reading, music theory, practice and performance. Students perform twice a year in recitals at the CAC and at various events within the community.

Music for Lil Mozart
Kate Kasmier| Ages 4-6 years old

Session One: Mon. Feb. 5th — March 26th

Young students will make friends with Mozart Mouse and Beethoven Bear as they help navigate the exciting world of music.  Students will learn basic music skills while playing a variety of instruments and enjoying different musical genres.

Private Voice Lessons & Audition Prep

Learn how to take your singing to the next level.  If you are a novice or veteran and want to use your body as your instrument, come explore the art of singing.  Topics covered are technique, repertoire, sight singing and audition prep.

SPECIALTY ART

Lit Nights for Young Artists
Chris James | Ages 13 – 17 years old

Saturdays: Jan. 27th, Feb. 24th, March 31st & April 28th
Time:  6:00– 9:00 pm 

NOTE:  Special Additional Lit Night Class is scheduled for Saturday, March 17th (6:00 – 9:00 pm).

This event will serve as a night out for youth to come to a safe space to have engaging dialogue while also sharing their performance; poetry, song, dance, visual art, and more.
