Douglasville, Georgia -- The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County is pleased to announce its annual spring celebration for children and their families, THE MAD HATTER’S TEA PARTY, Saturday, March 15th at the Cultural Arts Center in Douglasville’s
historic district. Presented in partnership with the Douglas County Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association, THE MAD HATTER’S TEA PARTY offers educational fun for children in two sessions at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The morning session is for children younger than six years old and the afternoon session for children six and older. Tickets are $25 for the first child and accompanying adult; $15 for each additional child, $5 for each additional adult.
This marvelous, not-to-be-missed introduction to one of the great classics of children’s literature, Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, includes a round of flamingo croquet, sing-a-long music and storytelling sessions, an egg hunt, more games and gift bags, a children’s tea party lunch and a luncheon for their mothers and grandmothers. Ladies are encouraged to wear their best spring bonnets, and prizes will be awarded for the most creative and original hats worn.
The Red Queen and White Queen will be there to help with all of the festivities. The Cheshire Cat will wear a grin, the Mad Hatter will serve tea, and the White Rabbit will be late. High school students will guide small groups of children and adults through each session’s activities.
Reservations are required for this sell-out event. Call the Cultural Arts Council for more information and make your reservations today, 770-949-2787.
