Children, 7 – 11 years old, will explore a wide variety of art disciplines including ceramics, design, cartooning and painting with expert and experienced teaching artists. Campers (a total of 50 can be registered) are divided into five groups of ten by age. Camp begins at 9 a.m. and continues until 4 p.m. Early drop off (8:30 am) and late pick up (5:30 p.m.) can be arranged at no additional fee with the Parks and Recreation staff. Daily schedule will include three art making sessions, a morning and afternoon break (snacks provided by Douglas County Department of Parks and Recreation) and lunch (provided by campers). Each artist will work with three groups each day and with each group twice on projects in their discipline. The final day will be spent at the Cultural Arts Center on a camp project with everyone participating and on the display of works to be presented during our Celebration of Achievements, Friday, April 10th, 5 until 6 pm.
